چکیده
OBJECTIVE: Our aim is to measure the stiffness values in different regions of eye with shear wave elastography (SWE) patients glaucoma and compare results healthy eyes investigate whether there a change elasticity ocular compartments patients.MATERIAL AND METHODS: In this study, we compared 12 open-angle 32 volunteers using an SWE-equipped ultrasonography device. Only right was evaluated all patients. First, globe generally examined B-mode. Then, optic nerve head, retro-orbital nerve, sclera-retina complex adipose tissue posterior segment cornea, lens anterior chamber were measured SWE kiloPascal both groups statistically.RESULTS: No statistically significant differences found between patient control terms recorded measurements performed parts eye.CONCLUSIONS: Although easily applicable method, no groups. However, thanks reference for normal individuals have been determined.

Measuring shear-wave speed with point shear-wave elastography and MR elastography: a phantom study
OBJECTIVES To compare shear-wave speed (SWS) measured by ultrasound-based point shear-wave elastography (pSWE) and MR elastography (MRE) on phantoms with a known shear modulus, and to assess method validity and variability. METHODS 5 homogeneous phantoms of different stiffnesses were made. Shear modulus was measured by a rheometer, and this value was used as the standard. 10 SWS measurements ...
متن کاملin vivo evaluation of the biomechanical properties of optic nerve and peripapillary structures by ultrasonic shear wave elastography in glaucoma
conclusion the study evaluated the biomechanical properties of the on and peripapillary structures in vivo with swe in glaucoma. we observed stiffer on and peripapillary tissue in glaucomatous eyes, indicating that swe claims new perspectives in the evaluation of on and peripapillary structures in glaucoma disease. background primary open-angle glaucoma is a multifactorial serious disease chara...
متن کاملThree dimensional shear wave scattering MR elastography
Introduction: Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) is a non invasive method that combines externally applied vibrations with the motion sensitivity of MRI to measure the shear elasticity soft tissues [1]. In MRE this is traditionally achieved by solving an inverse problem with MRE shear wave images as input data [2]. A complementary approach, which does not require the solution of an inverse p...
متن کاملclinical application of shear wave elastography in breast masses
results of the 133 breast lesions, 32 were malignant and 101 were benign. in the differentiation of benign and malignant lesions, conventional us resulted in sensitivity of 100 %, specificity of 43.0 %, ppv of 57.1 %, npv of 36.7 %, and accuracy of 100 %. regarding swe, the sensitivity, specificity, ppv, npv, and accuracy values based on emax were 84.4 %, 89.1 %, 71.1 %, 94.7 %, and 88.0 %, res...
متن کاملShear wave elastography of the supraspinatus muscle and tendon: Repeatability and preliminary findings.
Shear wave elastography (SWE) is a promising tool for estimating musculoskeletal tissue properties, but few studies have rigorously assessed its repeatability and sources of error. The objectives of this study were to assess: (1) the extent to which probe positioning error and human user error influence measurement accuracy, (2) intra-user, inter-user, and day-to-day repeatability, and (3) the ...
